I support Habitat for Humanity because they 'teach a man to fish' - rather than a handout, families are given a hand up. In order to receive a Habitat Home, families are required to provide 500 hours of sweat equity and the 'mortgage' payments after taking possession of their home are put toward another home for a deserving family. (Don't you LOVE the pay it forward?!)

On August 20th I am lending my sweat equity to a 32-unit complex, Habitat's largest project yet, that will house over 60 children. If this cause resonates with you, sponsor me and I will do all of the heavy lifting with my fellow team members!
