I didn't know if I could do the ride until a month ago. I've been doing this since the first one,14 years running. In January this year my appendix ruptured, I went septic and almost didn't make it. My cycling community built through this ride was so supportive, and there for me when I needed them the most!

After 4 weeks in the hospital and 6 months recovering, I got my first real bike ride in a month ago. If i wasn't riding, i would have just volunteered and found a way to give back to this ride that gives me so much every year!

Thank you so much for being willing to support this cause, and in supporting me in giving back. I feel so thankful that I'm still alive, and that i get to choose to be a part of a wonderful event like this every year!
